I agree with John Lubbock a lot.
The picture of the river looks a lot like the upper St Louis River in norther Mn. There are Musky, northern pike, walleye and smallmouth bass in the back eddies and behind the rocks….going down those rivers are a lot like life, one never knows what will happen around the next bend.

Some how I just knew you would agree with Mr Lubbock. Smallies, Large, huge variety of pan fish, suckers and red horse is about all you will find in that stretch. I just think the St Francis is one beautiful river. It certainly isn’t for beginner takers and canoeists. (Or old guys like me) 🤠
